About Us
Crossing Bridges Films is a boutique film production company that grew out of the Kosovo War in 1999, when sisters Antoneta and Sevdije Kastrati met Casey Cooper Johnson and the trio began making documentaries to capture compelling stories in the aftermath of the conflict. Over a decade, they made dozens of award winning docs and hundreds of hours of current affairs television. The Crossing Bridges team later moved to Los Angeles to produce narrative film and TV, all graduating from the American Film Institute. Their feature film, ZANA (2019) world premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and was Kosovo’s entry for Best International Feature at the 2020 Oscars, securing worldwide distribution. With extensive background in journalism, documentaries and narrative filmmaking, Crossing Bridges Films creates realism, emotion, and engaging characters in its film, television and branded content.
